Leave The Hot Mess To God

I smile a little to think
the thought that most of humanity
is quite a hot mess,
Recently, I was describing 

to a friend how I seem to be more
on the happy side these days.
She knows me well
and might describe my swing
to the happy side
by using the word crazy.
Well, I had to laugh.

If we focus on people too much
we could all go crazy.
That’s why we have God.
Thankfully!
We can worship Him,
focus on His beauty,
continue to love Him
and learn from His heart
in the midst of this world
full of all sorts of mess.

Grateful for a God
who transcends all the mess
and yet is right there
to hear our heart,
encourage us, discipline us,
guide us and remind us
of His beautiful promises.

My daughter and I were
talking about heaven this morning.
What will we do there for eternity
she wondered.
I love to ponder heaven.
I wondered out loud
if we will have
the same fellowship there
as God has with us here.
All of us will be together.
We will feel the love
and enjoy just being
in each other’s presence.
We won’t have to talk all the time.
We will just be.
The love and joy and goodness
of God in us will be imparted
to one another spirit to spirit.
For introverts, this has got to be
some really good news. LOL

Hot messes.
We can leave all of that
for God to take care of
and keep focused on Him
in the midst of our own issues

so we stay filled up with Him
and have some sort of something
to offer another fellow
hot mess. 😊
