Living Deeply Loved
There is a certain spot I enjoy
to look up at the stars.
It's a spot I spend time at
whether cold or hot.
Warm weather certainly finds me
at this spot more often.
Have you ever spent time
under the canopy of stars?
Each one differently placed
in the sky?
Have you found your heart
being open and honest with God?
My heart finds itself stating
the same desire,
quite a lot,
"God, I want to please you.
I want to DO what you want".
There is always that pressure
that one doesn't do enough for God.
And as I wait,
continuing to look up at the stars -
I catch a glimpse of Gods heart
delighting in His abounding love
and I see myself there.
Right there in His love.
Fully loved. Deeply loved.
Is that really it?
But what about the DOING part?
Well, I am the apple of His eye.
And so are you.
And as in any relationship
where genuine love is truly enjoyed,
never is it hidden.
A heart fully loved never hides.
Loves glow exudes everywhere.
It changes the atmosphere.
It lights dark corners
and holds the hands of others.
It affects every part
of life - the inside and the out.
Everyone can tell as joy is expressed
and smiles are seen.
The eyes twinkle.
No inhibition or fear.
Insecurity fades away.
How lovely are those fully loved.
They are attractive.
They glow.
You get me.
Abide in this Love of Christ.
Seek first His Kingdom
and righteousness.
This is the realm of purity.
The pleasures of this world
turns ones heart to evil.
It is seductive
and downright crude.
Mutual love is so exquisite.
It takes two.
The DO out of love
is the radiance of God's glory.
Just as Jesus was the radiance
of God's glory
and the perfect representation
of His Being.
Sigh. Will I ever get this?
Will I cry out for the same everyday?
Is this what is called,
"working out my salvation
with fear and trembling"?
It surely is.
Dig deep.
Ask God questions.
Call on Him in your day of trouble.
He will hear you.
Seek His righteousness
with all your heart
as you rest in His love.
And enjoy this relationship
you have with Almighty God.
Live in Him,
deeply loved.
