Two Piles Of Crap

My daughter and I are staying
at an Airbnb here in Miami, Florida.
And we are sharing one small,
carry-on sized, suitcase.

While here, we have been taking
our clothes out to wear.
After the days, our clothes
have been piled on top
of each other over the ottoman
that is set lengthwise
against the wall.

And my daughter is having a fit.
"I can't find anything
in this pile of crap".
I laugh at her passionate words
articulated with a mixture
of genuine and mock frustration.
(She has learned to be frustrated
but in a sort of humorous way).

I replied, "we should take our clothes and divide them
into yours and mine
and make two piles of crap).
And we both laughed.

And that is how this was born.
"Two piles of crap."
