So many changes.

This year.

Many gains.

Just as many losses.

One moment good

then unsure.

Steady and solid

then slip through hands.

Friends forever

then none.

Falling snow

all day long.

Wintertime.

The leaves all gone.

The tree's bare.

Morning came today,

and the noon.

Night will come.

Silence.  

Introspection.

Music. 

New patterns

and notes.

Coffee mug beside.

Cars and trucks

noisily by. 

Snug and warm

under peaked roof.

The bible.

Blessed assurance.

Hope.

Never forgotten.

Same God.

Almighty.

All knowing.

Ever present.

I smile 

through the tears.

Not moved.

Mighty hands

keeping

safe and secure.

Looking forward.

Ahead.

Growing.

Stretching.

Heavenward.
