You Can't Control Me

Control.
You are relentless.
If you can't get what you want,
you turn to other dark ways
to try and get what you want.

You bully.
I know you may not think you do
but you use the weaknesses you see
to terrorize another.
You exploit their weaknesses.
You point them out
and point them out to others
behind their back.
You rally a group of supporters
and together you speak
to one another about the weaknesses
you see.
Then those begin to "see it"
and together everyone rally's
against the one you attack.
The weaknesses are highlighted
and never anything about
what God says of another
is ever explored or shared.
Just the others "sin".
Sometimes I'm sure that
what you consider their sin
is really the fact
that they won't do what you tell them
or act on it in a timely fashion
as you see fit.
In fact, control,
a person never does anything right
in your eyes.
They never answer your
phone calls enough.
They never answer your emails
or your texts as quickly as you desire.
They don't do enough for you
or treat you the way
your elevated self feels it deserves.
"Evil sinner" is the way you see them.
These people you exploit are precious.
They really are.
If you could only see their heart
and how God see's them -
if you could only repent
of your beam filled eyes
and dark insides,
you'd see the beauty of God
and the hope He has for them
and a bright bright future
full of good plans.
If only....

I'm not sure if I'm talking about control
or religion.  I've experienced both
in the same way.
