The Unnatural Love of God Deeply Feels
It truly takes
the love of God
to genuinely feel
what another
is going through.
It takes presence
and soft quickened heart
to care and to have
His compassion.
The love of God
doesn't come naturally.
If our hearts
were so turned on
as to deeply feel
what others around us
go through,
it would be too overwhelming.
Try with all we can muster
to be there and to truly care
and it wouldn't be enough.
But presence is there.
His. Ours. Intermeshed. One.
We were given five senses.
Seeing, hearing, touching,
tasting, smelling.
The Comforter is seeing,
hearing, touching, tasting
and smelling through/with you.
And when all those senses
wait in His Presence
as you are present with this one
and that,
know sweet child of God,
that He will guide.
He will whisper to you
how to do this thing called
God's love.
He knows we'd be overwhelmed.
He knows we will have
to get away from it all
with the senses overwhelmed.
He knows we'll have to cry
and share the huge ache He put
in your heart for that person
or city or nation.
He knows you cannot handle it
on your own.
And He will cry with you.
He aches with you.
He sighs with you.
He longs for this one and that
to be set free and know
the living Savior.
Cry with Him.
Ache with Him.
Unload with Him.
Let it come out
and don't hold it in.
He will take all the pain,
He will take all the deep care,
He will take the longing,
the inexpressible things
that can only be found in the tears
and the sighing and heaving.
And He will take it
and offer it to God
and come back to you
with God's thoughts for that one
or two, or group or city or nation.
Just wait and be patient.
Be present.
Let the senses be overwhelmed.
And daily need your Comforter.
He is there night and day.
Know that no one can care for you
as deeply as God will.
Be patient with everyone you encounter
if you've been one to express.
You've felt things that your presence
has felt uniquely
and those that hear may
or may not have.
And that's just how it is.
Many will not understand.
But your Comforter will.
Your Comforter does.
Your Comforter was there WITH you.
He put the heart of God in you.
You felt His heart.
And it is overwhelming to you
and everyone else.
Go cry. Be with Him alone.
And know this process is very OK.
He made it this way.
