It's Time To Return To God
God loves us so.
Everything He did
was with us in mind.
He first made a utopia
of the most beauty
He thought a man
could enjoy.
He called it the Garden of Eden.
But we wanted more.
We were so easily tempted
away from this delicate trust
He wanted us to have.
Man then had to go at life
with more sweat and effort
to provide for ones self.
It was hard.
The wages of sin
truly resulted in death.
But a few remained faithful
to Him in their lifetime.
He was never far away.
He was working in man
to accomplish His purpose.
Those who trusted
heard
and acted on what they heard.
And God's plan moved forward
even though most who acted
never truly knew the whole purpose
or saw very far forward
in this life.
To some, God revealed a future
they declared for Him
and for that,
many were mistreated
and misunderstood.
What these men spoke forward for,
came, just as they said.
God came to man.
His name was Jesus.
All that was done and said
for all time was leading to the time
that He came
and when He came,
nothing....no, nothing
remained the same.
I know it may be hard
for many to try to understand
and reconcile in their thoughts
as they read of life
throughout history
and think of the why.
But we are living in the time
where what even angels
wonder at and are amazed,
is available to us all
because of Jesus
and His beautiful trust
and surrender to the Father.
He trusted.
He fully gave His life
and now all mankind
can experience the power of God
to live in righteousness
where once we were slaves
to only ourselves
and our own desires.
We can enjoy simple trust
in God who raised Jesus
from the dead.
He was raised from the dead
to prove
He was the sinless Lamb.
He paid the penalty of sin
and broke its power.
So that we can become
the righteousness of God
when we believe it.
Look around you dear one.
Look at the tree's,
the beautiful flowers,
the sky with clouds so unique
with sunrises and sunsets
that awe us all each day.
Look how He sends rain
to keep things watered
and warmth via sunshine.
He gave us laughter
and friendship
and coffee
and love.
If the very evidence of His goodness seen day to day
can't penetrate our heart
to turn it toward Him,
what could my friend?
Let us turn to the Lord afresh
each day.
Let not sin rule in you.
It's power is truly broken.
Listen to God. If you do,
He will lead to still waters
and restore your soul.
You will find rest
and be filled in His Shalom.
As the words to the song goes,
"Trust and obey,
for there is no other way
to be happy in Jesus
but to trust and obey."
