The Sweetest Perspective Is From God

Ah perspective.
You come and teach us
as we come into this world
and grow up in the tick tock
of seconds turned to minutes
and minutes to hours.
Hours to days and days
into years.

You teach us
through what we see,
what we experience,
what we hear
and how we perceive
all those things
via a lens of what we believe
of ourselves and our world.

If we were ever so blessed
to be taught
or to have had imparted
to our spirit
a viewpoint higher than
the circumstances
that happen to us,
we can see beyond
some of the wreckage
of what has happened
and can be guided
in love toward the rich
and precious perspective
of the heart of a most awesome
and wonderful God.

He truly has given us
such exceeding great
and precious promises
and we can grow beyond
the realm of the injustices
of this life
into a people of His very own
who can be fashioned by Him
and be His hands and feet.

Don't let the pressures
of what is happening around you,
or said about you
or that is done to you
be your guiding factor
in your perception.

Set your mind on things above.
Above.  Above.
Higher.  Fuller.
Richer.  Sweeter.  Peaceful.
Light.  Keep up that habit.
And soon you will find
a perspective that always
lifts you higher
as you continue to yield
to the One who knows you
and is the only One who
will be there for you fully
and can guide you always
toward the passionate beat
of His heart.

There abide my friend.
Never be moved from the hope
that He has for you
and the hope that is set for you
in heaven.

His perspective is radiant
and alive and full
and breathtaking.
And it's yours to be had.
