The Magic In Hard Times

As I gaze out the window
of my warm, cozy home
at the sparse snow coming down,
I begin to see the magic
in this moment of beauty.

This is the winter season.
Trees stand exposed
without a single leaf to cover them.
It is cold and windy.
Clouds above blanket my sky view.

From specific conditions
such as these,
pure-white flakes form
and float around in the atmosphere.
Eventually these reach the ground.

Have you ever marveled
