In The Quiet With God

It’s good to take time
alone.
To look beyond
under canopy of blue;
where white floats over
moved by high breezes
felt lower still
upon ones face.

It’s good to sit
and watch leaves move
as they rustle together

and push away the hair
that has swept upon the face.

It’s good to take time
to share
your past disappointments,

the aches of them
and let the tears fall
and release it all to God.

It’s good to let them go
and remember this moment
and all that you have
and all of God’s Presence
with you now
and thank Him 

for what He’s done.

Burdens can creep up
and before you know it,
you feel them deeply
and life feels lonely
and all turns grey.

We can stay here if we want.
Or we can release what feels
so awfully real
in the quiet with Him
and allow Him to carry them
away.

Remember 

this current moment
that you’re in.
Smile.
Because you are
a child of God.

And with those burdens
released to Him,
move forward and be free.
Live in His love
and radiate His Presence.
You will find rest for your soul
as you continue to come to Him.

It’s in the quiet
with our Savior
where the real and raw
can be freely felt
and freely shared
and encouragement
in the sweetest love,
to release all.
