The Need To Be Centered
In this life of directions pulling our attention to this thing and that.
Where voices call from over here and over there.
Where affections for things are tugging and eventually found to be mirages when trying to grasp...
How wise is the wisdom of God.
When all instruments are tuned using one tuner....all those instruments are fully in tune with each other.
How wise that Gods purpose for each of us is that we make Him the center...
that He be the vision
and He be the Lord of our heart.
When our lives become centered on what is right, there we find harmony...
we find our home.
We find our place,
our peace,
When I get anxious and find myself
grasping for this or that,
I’m grateful for Gods Spirit
who reminds me to fix my eyes
on Jesus...
to return and be centered.
And the fountain is re-established
and I can smile again.
What a struggle we face
in this life.

What a struggle we face
in this life.
He knows our frame.
He remembers we are but dust.
Easily distracted and pulled
to unrest.
“Nought be all else to me,
save that thou art.
Thou my best thought
by day or by night.
Waking or sleeping
thy Presence my light.”
