Job Security

Along the tall mountain 

stretched a girl,

reaching for the head and face

and picking at minuscule protrusions 

finds great joy

at the inert persons

she loves and knows.

"Job security", I laugh

as I watch the process.

She makes a good monkey

we joke, just as 

a monkey community

likes to pick at this and that

found in each other's fur. 

More is caught than taught.

And this little one has caught!
