Believe The Best in Friendship

Things seem like they're changing.
I don't see you as often as we did.
We aren't taking those walks.
We aren't sharing as many talks.

I see you with others.
You seem more attracted to them.
My heart wants to catch in my throat.
And I feel a little jealous.

Believe the best.
C'mon, the tides of relationship
have always had an ebb and flow.
Winter sets in
and feelings of hibernation.

Look at the times and the season.
There are struggles and changes.
The honeymoon stage is over.
Feelings have dwindled.

C'mon and press in.

Don't back down
and listen to other whims.

God is always good.
He said He rewards all
who diligently seek Him.

Some give and give and give.
Some take and take and take.
But there must be a whole lot of give,
both ways.

Relationships are that sweet.

You have to go after it.
Allow the best to flow through you.
