Surrounded With His Love

I live, with my past in the past
and His path, my path.
I live, with the regrets as they are
and yet, He whispers to me how great He is.
I live, with imperfections abounding
and all the while, the Perfect One is perfecting me.
I live, breathe, move and am a being,
yet He is showing me each day
that it is not I who live, breathe, move and have my being alone.
He lives, breathes, moves and has His being and I do so because He lives in me.
I see you.  I see me.
He see's you and He see's me.
He is teaching me to see me
by the words he speaks.
I hear, and therefore I am.
He is teaching me to see you
by the words He speaks.
I hear and therefore I see you.
The life we live in this spirit,
soul, and body is kept
in His keeping.
As we look at Him, God Himself,
and keep our ears to His mouth
and eyes forward -
He shows us deep inside
a view of Him that is breathtaking.
He shows us who He is
in everything we see,
everything we've gone through,
in all the joys and sorrows
and through it all
He whispers the single thread
of His love
that He called you
and that He is trustworthy
and He works in you
and will do in you all He
has spoken.
Because He has never spoken one word that returns void.
Each of His words that goes out
accomplishes ALL it sets out to do.
Each of His words produces
creation LIFE.
And that life took on flesh
and was given a name.
Jesus.
He lives in you!
He is the hope of glory.
So if you are reading this
and your thoughts
are telling you a different view.
Put your ear to His mouth afresh.
He is real.
He exists.
And He asks you,
"What do you desire?"
