Unexpectantly Carried Up On A Wave - Treasure!

It was late afternoon when my husband and I got the chance to go for a walk along the beach.  It was a time when all the really nice seashells had already been bagged.  But I cannot stop being in treasure mode every time I find myself here.  I imagine myself as that ever hopeful pirate in search of that ever-elusive treasure chest.  I may be in conversation with the one I'm with.  I may enjoy the sights and sounds of other pleasurable experiences as many abound on this stretch of beach, but deep down inside, I have this desire to ever be on the lookout for a rare shell or maybe even an old gold Spanish galleon coin encrusted from years of being tossed about.

The walk was rejuvenating and never do I feel more alive in every sense of my being than walks like these.  We had almost reached the southern tip when we decided to turn back around and walk back.  And then there it was!  My treasure-seeking eye beheld an object of real proportions.  And it was a beauty!

These faithful, incoming waves had left behind one beautiful seashell just for me.  Not any ordinary seashell - this one was perfect.  It's colors were exquisite and the pattern wasn't worn.  With delight I reached down to pick it up and my treasure meter was dinging with a happy, full tone.

I beheld this seashell and marveled at it along with my husband.  This one was meant just for me.  A gift from God my treasure.  In Him (Christ) are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.  He has hidden His treasure inside us - His earthen vessels.  I can only imagine the treasure that He is, delighting when we find His created handiworks and thanking Him for these sweet pieces He throws up on the beach for us to find.
