Exuding The Kingdom Of Heaven

We are generally people who talk too much. I find that to be true the longer I live. And our conversation is too often superficial and filled with phrases that aren’t typically thought through to bring life and nurture to others.

Living out the Kingdom of God on earth is a process that begins when we believe on the Lord Jesus and say yes to his call to our hearts. He is drawing each of us to Him every day. Every sunrise, every sunset, the beauty of nature all around, the very fact that you are alive and breathing. The magnificence of the human body and that your heart beats. What a miracle! Jesus came to reconcile all of mankind to the Father and He’s given each of His children the ministry of reconciliation. Each of us who know God and are being changed by Him are to live out our lives as the Beloved ones that we truly are. And how does that look?

Christianity has too often turned many away with aggressive words and attitudes. Words. Attitude. Attitude comes from the inward areas of our heart that has not been changed through knowing and loving God and yielding to His changing process. So many of our words come out from fixed notions, repeated phrases and self-will. There is a difference between hearing about God and just repeating things and truly knowing Him. One is talk and the other is Life. One is from this kingdom and the other is the precious beauty of being led by the Good Shepherd, staying close to Him, living under the shadow of His wings, beholding His Face in righteousness, hearing from Him and soaking in His Presence. There is deep inner change in being close to Him...being close to the One who is Light and who has no darkness at all in Him.

Too often our plate is filled with desire for recognition, power positions, jealousy, competition with others, religion (not truly knowing God intimately but living out certain rules and regulations and patterns of behavior), ambitions of this thing and that, wanting things you can’t have, busyness, activity for activity’s sake, etc.

Being with God is so truly amazing that the more you spend time with Him, the less everything else seems attractive. You find that in Him is everything you could ever desire. Being close to God is the highest living because in Him is Life. Real Life. He works through every layer of you and transforms you. You start to see like Him, feel like Him, understand your value and the deep value of others with His eyes. You begin to notice everything in the ways of His heart and purpose and your words call people higher. Your life beckons others to follow Him by nature of His indwelling Presence. The closer you get to religion and religiousness, you see more and more ugliness. But God didn’t send His Son to teach us how to be religious. He sent His Son to infuse every part of us and change us to be conformed to Christ’s image. God’s precious Spirit was sent to convict our hearts and to begin to know the true value of the Kingdom of heaven. Our true eternal home and lifestyle begins with knowing Jesus and talking to Him about the struggles of our lives lived up to this point in living for ourselves, living for this temporary world. It’s called repentance and it isn’t just words spoken but it’s the beauty of God showing you how to live for your true home in heaven. And as He shows you, you cry and the desire is truly to want to live for God. I know you’ve felt it. You question, “there’s got to be more to live for than this.” Most people have never heard that they were created to live for God and to know Him and be transformed by Him to exude the Kingdom of Heaven. So we end up living lives like what we see around us and hoping for that success others have achieved in this life. That is why it is important for those of us who know God, to know Him more and more and live out the beauty of His Life here on earth so others can see. They need to see. They need to know what it’s like to live for God and that all of Him is available to them. This is truly the real purpose Jesus came. It was for freedom that Christ set us free. Free from religion that simply imitates words and actions of men. Free to draw near to God and know Him and experience His love and love Him in return wherever you are. And exude who He is with others.

It’s not a perfect process as you work out this love relationship with Him. But He said He will perfect you. He said He is working in you to will and do His good pleasure. It’s in the quiet that you hear. It’s in the breaking away from the old patterns of behavior and letting all that old stuff go, taking His hand and letting Him lead and guide you.

Enjoy Him, love Him, honor Him, share your heart with Him, allow His love to embrace you in return and you will begin to exude the Kingdom of Heaven....your true home.
