The Value Of Space To Accelerate The Journey Of Freedom
God knows exactly what we all need as human beings to be able to truly live, move and have our being in Him.
The definition of life and to live in God is truly opposite of what this world says is the way to life and to live. Life with God is truly a freeing experience. He teaches us what is important and the direction He wants us to take. He transforms us from the power of the old nature and reminds us in His Words of Life of our new nature. He whispers to our hearts as we draw near to Him on what is most important and then releases the hold of things that shouldn’t be. Little by little, He sanctifies our lives as we listen and we begin to take the steps toward His heart. We become His own people. The realization of all of this dawns on us more and more as we grow older and closer to Him. We will never grow close to God by trying to be a good person in our own power or by trying to imitate people around us, by trying to conform or live by a set of rules or standard. We must have God’s Spirit in us, taking all our cares to Him and ask for His help in everything. We must sit with Him in quiet of heart simply to be with Him. We must soak in His Words of Life and ask for help to understand His Words in the Bible. The Holy Spirit is there to teach you. The direct Source of all Truth will guide and direct you Himself personally. It’s a beautiful way of living. And you can ask for the Holy Spirit yourself and He will come. Jesus is the all-important One and when you say yes to Jesus and to live your life for Him instead of for yourself, when you tell Him you don’t want to live like you always have and want to live for Him, He comes and makes you His own. So much power of God comes and flows in you and you begin to see things in your life that is opposed to Him and you begin to tell Him the things and your desire that He free you from the ugly things He shows you is there and you cry from your heart....He is there to heal and free you from the power of those things and transform you to look more like Him. It’s such a sweet and tender process of you and Him. God says to ask for His Spirit to come and live in you and He will. You may begin speaking another language. That’s your new prayer language that is yours to build yourself up as you speak the words you don’t understand. You may begin to desire to pray for sick people or to say words that give life to others to encourage them. You may begin having faith that God is going to work in people’s life. You just know that He is and will. You start to have more compassion for others and that causes you to be near people you never would have before. God softens you and makes you more tender as you continue being with Him and loving Him and letting Him love you in return. He may speak to you to go to a certain church and begin to get to know the people there. Listen to your Good Shepherd and do what you hear Him say to do. And don’t be pressured to do anything else that He hasn’t told you to do. God is teaching you a new way of life so don’t overwhelm yourself by giving into pressures that do come from all sides in this life. That was your old way of life. Your new life is now Christ. He leads and guides you.
We grow in wide open spaces. Interesting how God knows this. The enemy of God wants to constrict you and move you into a busy schedule with pressures of all kinds so that you won’t have time to be with God. There is temptations with even good things. That’s why you should be alert to these things ahead of time. The enemy of God will tempt you with nice things and good works and power positions. But how tender and beautiful are the times of quiet with God. How powerful is the moments spent with Him. You begin to see that great value. It’s in the quiet that you hear.
It’s in the wide-open spaces that you can grow. It’s in the freedom of the noise and distractions and the constricting priorities of this world that aren’t from God. If you don’t have time to be with God and soak in His Presence often and His Words of Life in the Bible, you know you’ve gotten off the right path somewhere. Eliminate those things that snuck into your life as He shows you what they are. People can even applaud some of those things and cause you to think they are right and good. It may be hard to untangle, but God will show you as you look to Him for help. Nothing is more important than your time with God enjoying Him and growing to know Him. Nothing. Success as defined in this life can be a HUGE detractor - it almost always is. When we love the world or the things in it, the love of the Father has been stifled. And staying in His love and loving Him is most important.
God’s Spirit teaches us how to untangle and live in God’s freedom.
“Now, ‘Adonai’ (the Lord) in this text means the Spirit. And where the Spirit of Adonai is, there is freedom. So all of us, with faces unveiled, see as in a mirror the glory of the Lord; and we are being changed into his very image, from one degree of glory to the next, by Adonai the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:17-18
“As for you, the Messianic anointing you received from the Father remains in you, so that you have no need for anyone to teach you. On the contrary, as his Messianic anointing continues to teach you about all things, and is true, not a counterfeit, so, just as he taught you, remain united with him.”
1 John 2:27
Stay connected with God always. His Spirit He sent to live in you will teach you and guide you into all Truth. But don’t let anything distract you from God and knowing Him. Nothing. Even though everything wants to. So many voices, calling this way and that. But Jesus said His sheep will hear HIS voice and follow Him. Always remember that.
