I Just Want To Be Me

The sweet Presence of God, flowing.
Beckoning to step in, to come,
to be near and enjoy being.
The flow of His Presence,
stilling my heart, healing me,
releasing...

those unfulfilled expectations
felt by me from myself and others,
expectations of religion,
societal demands, peer-pressures,
insecurities
and pressures of all kinds.

The sweet Presence of God
is the healing balm
to every part of me in every layer.
And though some may oppose
or have opinions au contraire,
I will continue to abide
and rest in Gods love
no matter who I’m with.
This is what it means to be me.
The person loved by God
and changed moment to moment
in His healing Presence,
never to leave.
It is like stepping into a fountain
of fresh and cool water
on a humid and hot day.

It’s like plunging into the ocean
and enveloped in waters
that relax and hold you.

It’s like being fully hydrated
and able to move
and think much more clearly.
It’s being still
when everything around you
is moving so fast.

It’s like waiting for your GPS
to tell you the next step,
but in the meantime,
you continue forward
and enjoy the company
and the scenery

in wide-eye’d wonder.

God will get you to where
He wants you to be.
He will guide you and provide
for all of your needs.

Abide in Him
and you will see.
You will be all He desires
and nothing will move you
because you are attached to Him
with your hand in His.

“Since we have been given right standing with God through faith, then let us continue ENJOYING peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have an introduction through faith into this state of GOD’S FAVOR, in which we SAFELY STAND; and let us CONTINUE exulting in the hope of ENJOYING the GLORIOUS PRESENCE of God.”
