When Perspective Is A Fun Thing

It was beautiful outside.
Rain was in the forecast
but for some reason,
no deluge occurred over our area,
just a slight bit of light rain
that felt refreshing
and then it was gone.

I love days that are unplanned.
Sometimes a spontaneous idea hits,
and you go for it
and the day blossoms into something
so beautiful, so fulfilling
and so meaningful.

It doesn’t mean that the day
would have been thought of as great
in anyone’s eyes,
but it’s all in perspective.
It’s in who you’re with
and what you choose to enjoy
and make enjoyable.

It’s always the little things
that are so big.

If we can just gain the insight
into what is most valuable,
and let the rest go.
Make the most of sweet opportunities
and realize that no matter what,
we have a sweet and blessed life.
It’s a beautiful world we live in.
And God allows us cushions
of His love to rest on
and that bring us joy in-spite
of the hard things we go through.

There are times that we get to listen
and hear another’s pain
and empathize, be there,
support one another, make food,
eat it, share dessert with a friend
while standing together outside.
Hugs from little ones.
So many unsaid things
can be heard and understood.

Only God can give us a perspective 
so fun in the middle 
of something that might not feel
that great.  
But in seeing with His value,
these little moments are HUGE.
