It’s So Easy To Become Inward Focused
It’s easy to become too inward focused,
too close-circled, too much highlighting on the issues of those around you,
especially, when you aren’t being exposed
to more of the world around you
and to other relationships with people
in other cultures, beliefs, careers and with the expansion that all of that brings. It’s an interesting thing - expansion. Expansion - like an expansion bridge.
It’s easy to get stuck in a rut
of whirling thoughts and our own
patterns and issues. And then like a vulture over dead meat, there comes the circling and circling. One thing to be sure, you must let that dead meat go and rise! Lift your wings and put your eyes above and soar. Your old man and old self is always happy to see you look at yourself and begin a circling party. But God set you free and gave you a new nature! You aren’t even a vulture anymore. You are an eagle with super-sharp God-eyes. Use them to see what He wants you to see.
