The Same Blood That Flows

Never once has any part of my body,
spoken out against another part.
My heart has never said to my big toe,
"You are ugly....begone from me."
My big toe has never been jealous
of my heart.
My eyes have never boasted,
"I am a better part."
The main systems
have never risen up against
the secondary systems
and divided over title or prestige.

The same blood flows through
each and every part.
There is no life without the blood.

In the same way,
we all share the same Holy Spirit.
The life of Jesus flows through His body.
He is the Head.

Is any part better than another?
So where comes boasting?
What of pedigree's?
What of knowledge?

Really and truly believe that you are in Christ.
He lives inside of you.
You are of more value than the sparrows.
And Christ clothes and feeds them.

Believe it.
And cast away the sin that so easily besets you.
The pride that wants to speak.

It causes dissension.
And I have been so guilty of that.
But the Holy Spirit is speaking to the body.
He searches the deep things of God
and reveals them to us.

Let us stop stirring one another to jealousy.
And let us lift up the name of Christ.
The world needs to see Him
and His life-blood through us.


How can we work this out practically?
Does discipline have a factor?
Can we walk by the Spirit and lay aside ourselves for others?  How?
In the book of James it says to listen. 
In the book of Proverbs it shares wisdom for our everyday life.
