Your hug rocked!
It had been so long
and when she told me
you were coming,
my heart was overjoyed
with anticipation.

I watched for you
as we dined by open window
where I knew you'd pass by.
And when your figure
moved into view
and I looked over and saw you,
grin overtook
as door opened
and there you stood.

Happy noise escaped
and you hugged me
and rocked me.
It was where unexpressed words
found an expression
as two hearts met.

I still think of our hug
and its sweet expression of love.
And to witness
your tender affection
with your sweet sister.

It calms all fears,
slows down time
as it draws one near.
